We know that creative activity is fun and has a positive impact on our wellbeing.

Expressing yourself through art or crafts is a great way to boost your mood by trying something new and being with other people.

You don't have to have any experience or 'talent' to enjoy creating something for yourself.

Who is this service for?

Arts and Minds is a friendly social group where you can learn a new skill, meet and connect with new people, while boosting your mood and confidence.

It would be perfect for you if you’re finding life a little hard right now and it's time to try something new.

To access our support you must be

  • aged 18+

  • living in Teesside but able to travel to Middlesbrough or Stockton on Tees

What we can do to help you

We're working with artists from Stockton ARC who'll share their skills and and give you ideas and help. It's a group session so you'll meet new people too.

You’ll explore working with different materials and techniques such as drawing, printmaking and sculpture. We're focused on environmental sustainability using recycled materials or reused objects. There’ll be a chance to display your artwork through our exhibitions too. Right now you probably think you won't be good enough but we promise you'll surprise yourself!

You can also enjoy a weekly social group.
