Do you find yourself worrying too much about past events or stress over things that haven't happened, or just find it difficult to find time to relax?
Then mindfulness and relaxation techniques may be beneficial to you.
This workshop will introduce you to the concept of mindfulness and show you techniques that you can embed in your daily life to focus the mind in the present moment and help prevent unnecessary worrying. It also gives you the opportunity to understand what happens when we relax and try some techniques that can reduce stress.
We will explore how to relax and introduce you to alternative ways you can do this such as breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation and meditation.
We provide information on how this can be incorporated into daily life and quick and easy ways of being mindful – even in 2 minutes. We use videos exercise and group discussions to do this.
