We’re the leading local mental health charity in Teesside and it’s our mission to ensure everyone in our local community has good mental health.
We’re committed to working with each and every community that makes up our multi-cultural and diverse area to ensure they can access support to improve their emotional wellbeing. We strive to support people facing discrimination due to their mental health as well as their ethnicity, faith, sexuality or disability. Everyone struggles sometimes and we’re here to help anyone that needs our support.

What do we do?
Our community outreach team connects with communities and listens to their specifc concerns and needs.
The team helps people in lots of different ways. We can work with individuals or community groups to understand and appreciate emotional and mental health needs in the context of culture and faith to make you feel more comfortable.
Some of the ways we can support you include:
- Looking at the importance of emotional wellbeing in terms of culture and faith
- Understanding mental health issues such as stress & anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and more
- Practical advice on managing your mental health in a culturally appropriate way
- Identifying your emotional needs and suitable resources to help you
Who is this service for?
We want to work with every community within Teesside and understand that our Black, Asian and minorty ethnic communites are often worried about reaching out to us for help and support.
It’s our hope that by actively reaching out we can encourage more people to ask for help and offer reassurance that we can provide support in a way that works for them.
