LEJOG Challenge
By Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind
,
Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind are committed to promoting ways for good mental health and that includes sports and exercise.
Last year the charity set up a relay run and this year it’s bigger and better. And more challenging!
A team of staff, volunteers and Active Mind participants will be virtually completing The Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) route of 874 miles. This will be reached by running, walking and even swimming weekly to gather up the miles.
The LeJOG challenge starts today (13 September) with a completion date of 13 October, just after World Mental Health Day.
To get the FUN into Fundraising, the charity is also raising money for the Teesside Samaritans with participants setting themselves their own individual goal where family and friends can donate to the Virgin Money page.
