Purquoise Festival of Creative Arts returns for its second successful year on Saturday 30 June.
Renowned artists and local photographers’ artwork will be auctioned as part of the free-entry festival at Christ Church, Coatham Road, Redcar from 1pm until 4pm.
Everyone is welcome to also take part in the wellbeing workshops including making your own greetings card, snow globes or even join in on laughter yoga and jewellery making.
The Purquoise Festival of Creative Arts will carry on into the evening from 7pm at O’Gradys Hotel, Queen Street, Redcar with food and live music. Tickets are £5 on the website or pay on entry.
Purquoise was set up by Redcar resident Sarah Jane Ashcroft in memory of a family member who died in her twenties.
Sarah Jane said: "This cause is very personal to me, my family and friends. We are hoping other families who have experienced the loss of a young person or friend will join us on Saturday to remember their loved ones and help raise awareness."
The local artwork for the auction is available to be viewed at purquoise.uk and early bids can be placed.
All proceeds from the festival will go to local mental health charity Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind and Cardiac Risk in the Young, a national undiagnosed heart condition charity.
